GLASGOW
KILTWALK
On Sunday 27th April, almost 100 Back Onside supporters will be taking part in Glasgow’s biggest fundraising event – the Kiltwalk.
A total of 98 supporters -including a host of ex-pro footballers – are taking on the challenge of walking 23 miles to raise funds for Back Onside, and we couldn’t be more grateful for each and every person’s support. It’s the most participants that Back Onside have seen walking on our behalf, and we’re so excited to take on the challenge surrounded by so many amazing supporters.
The Kiltwalk team includes a mix of service-users, corporate partners and supporters from all walks of life, including: ex-professional footballer and owner of MegaTech Projects Ltd, George Rowe; ex-pro footballers and Back Onside Ambassador Lee Mair; ex-pro Jim Thomson; owner of Synergy Civils, Mark Duncan; owner of AG Payroll and former footballer, Chris Fahey; BoxFresh Glasgow owner Christopher Ward; and Forbes Tailoring owner Josh Forbes. Back Onside Founder Libby, and some of the Back Onside team, will also be taking on the walk. It’s going to be a great day!
We’ve been blown away by the support we’ve received and really are so grateful to each person who has signed up. The walk will be a challenge, but nothing in comparison to the challenges faced to those who are currently on waiting lists, desperately needing mental health support.
Demand continues to increase for Back Onside’s services, but hopefully, with donations from events like The Kiltwalk, we can keep our waiting lists to our minimum and support as many individuals as possible.
If you’re feeling inspired and want to sign up to a Kiltwalk for Back Onside, you can take part in the Aberdeen Kiltwalk on the 1st of June, the Dundee Kiltwalk on the 17th of August, or the Edinburgh Kiltwalk on the 4th of September,
