GROUP
SUPPORT
We’re excited to share our upcoming group support activities for 2026 – our book club, walking group and drop-in sessions.
For Back Onside, mental health support goes further than one-to-one sessions and suicide prevention calls outs. Sometimes, support starts with connection with others, through conversation, experience, or just being around people.
Our peer-to-peer support groups are designed to help you feel less alone and create a sense of well being, through relaxed and judgement free activities. Struggling with your mental health can feel isolating, and being around others can help take the pressure off a little bit, and divert your thoughts. While these groups aren’t formal therapy sessions, the impact they have on mental health can be vital. Whether it’s chatting over a coffee, sharing thoughts on a book, or going for a walk together, these moments create opportunities to talk openly (or even just listen), build routine and feel part of something. That’s why we’re excited to share a range of group-based support opportunities, each with a different way to connect:
BOOK CLUB:
Back Onside’s Book Club meets monthly at the Golden Lion Hotel in Stirling, and is a great opportunity to meet new people, read and chat in a friendly and relaxed environment. We’re currently reading Graham Norton’s Frankie – and we’re welcoming new members!
WALK & TALK
Looking for a way to get outside, meet new people, and take a moment just for you this spring? Back Onside are excited to launch a Walk & Talk group in Stirling – the perfect opportunity to enjoy some fresh air, have a chat and connect with others. Our first walk will be on Wednesday 29th of April, starting from the gates of King’s Park for an easy walk around the park and Stirling Golf Club. It’s not a serious hike, just a gentle walk and a laid back chat.
KILLIE COMMUNITY DROP-IN
Our group support services are coming to Rugby Park, with a monthly drop-in session at Killie Community Hub, starting on Wednesday 29th April at 6pm. You’ll find us behind rugby park – the evening is for anyone aged 16+ who wants to open up, connect with others, or just listen in a relaxed, supportive space.
